Uncle Ron’s Ramblings
No Good News From Homeless Harold: When Homeless Harold wandered in to the CFH grounds he was just like most of the creatures who do so. He was just looking for a place to come out of the cold.
Technically the name Homeless Harold is now a misnomer since Harold has a nice cozy hole to snuggle up in--which is all any groundhog needs or wants. The hole is on the CFH grounds though.
By the way, if you’re wondering if Harold brought any better news than his more famous cousin, Punxsutawney Phil--who predicted six more weeks of weather--he didn’t.
He merely echoed what I said in an earlier column. The good news is that Spring is indeed right around the corner. The bad news is that you need a very long periscope to see around that corner.
Also if you wanted to meet Harold you missed your chance. He only comes out on Groundhog’s Day, which was yesterday, and he’s a very private creature.
His friends go to a lot of trouble to camouflage his hole for him, so don’t even ask me to show it to you.
He did say he might like to meet a cute, cuddly female groundhog to snuggle up with in his hole. Does anyone know a Homeless Hilda.
