Artistic Newsletter: Are you an artist, poet or writer?
Place submissions for the new Artistic Newsletter in Emily Pickerill’s box. Express your talents and ideas by participating. Start submitting as soon as possible.
Art Group: Interested in exercising your creative spirit? Want to see some of your original art work on display in the hallways?

ABE
Starting Over: The next Starting Over class will begin December 3 and will run six weeks because of the holidays.
All of the following activities count towards ABE hours.
▪Computer Classes: There will be two Basic Word classes on Fridays starting December 7: 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. Sign up in ABE.
▪ Academic Fun Fair: Starting December 3 in ABE.
There will be puzzles, games, interesting projects and exhibits. A new exhibit will be added every day for the first week of December.
Volunteers are needed to set up and work exhibits. See Andrea in ABE.
▪ Poetry Jam: Every Tuesday, 7-8 p.m., Starting Over Room.
Read a favorite poem.
Share your own work.
Just listen, relax and enjoy.
▪Creative Writing: Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., Starting Over Room.
▪Dead Poets Society: Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m., ABE Room. All are welcome.
We will discuss short stories and poems.
▪Science Club: Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m., Starting Over Room.
Discuss science-related issues in the news and interesting experiments about Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and more.

Fumes Caused Hazmat Call: Fumes from sealant applied to a concrete pad near the St. Joseph Medical Center, Mishawaka, emergency room caused some people to become ill yesterday.
A hazmat crew was called to the scene and critical patients were diverted to South Bend’s Memorial Hospital. The Mishawaka emergency room continued to take walk-in cases and reopened for all patients at 11 a.m.

Paradise Jam, Virgin Islands; Baylor 68, ND Men 64; Georgia Tech 70, ND 69: Matt Causey hit a three-pointer with two seconds left to give the Yellow Jackets (3-2) their only lead of the night. Luke Harangody matched his career high with 22 points along with 11 rebounds to lead the Irish (2-2).
ND Women 94, Central Michigan 41: Freshman Becca Bruszewski scored a career-high 13 points to lead six Lady Irish in double figures at CMU (2-2) Tuesday.
Other double figure scorers for ND (3-1): Ashley Barlow and Melissa Lechlitner, 12 points each; Tulyah Gaines, 11 points; Melissa D’Amico and Lindsay Schrader, 10 points each. Barlow also grabbed 11 rebounds.
Other Local Scores: Bethel Men 85, Purdue-Calumet 60; Bethel Women 76, Purdue-Calumet 51; Anderson 54, St. Mary’s 44.
