▪ABE Incentives: Students will be given a card to be initialed during each walk-in class attended. Once a student has attended 10 walk-in programs, cards can be redeemed for prizes. Currently the prize is free ice cream.

▪The Write Stuff: Are you the only person who can read your handwriting? Come join us on Tuesday afternoons from 2-3 p.m. to learn writing that will look great on job applications, love letters, and everything else. Class starts May 6. Sign up in ABE.

Piazza Retires: Mike Piazza, a 12-time MLB All-Star, officially retired after 16 seasons with the Dodgers, Marlins, Mets, Padres and Athletics.
Piazza, 39, hit .275 with eight homers and 44 RBIs last season as a designated hitter with the A’s. His 396 homers as a catcher put him first on the all-time list ahead of Carlton Fisk (351), Johnny Bench (327), and Yogi Berra (306).

Teddy Has Brain Cancer: Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy has been diagnosed with brain cancer.
Kennedy--the second-longest serving living senator—has been in the hospital since suffering a seizure this weekend.
The senator’s tumor is a malignant glioma in the left parietal lobe, the section of the brain that controls various sensory activity, including the ability to speak and motor function.
