Election 2008

Obama Starting Another Winning Streak:
Barack Obama increased his delegate lead over Hilary Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination with a win in the Mississippi primary.
It was the Illinois senator’s second win this week; he also captured the Wyoming Caucuses on Saturday.
Obama captured 61% of the vote in Mississippi compared to 37% for Clinton. That translates into 19 delegates for him and 14 for her.
According to the latest AP count, Obama has 1,598 of the 2,025 delegates needed to secure the nomination to 1,487 for Clinton.
The two candidates have six weeks to campaign for next big prize, the Pennsylvania primary with 158 delegates at stake.
Hoosier voters go to the polls along with North Carolina on May 6. Indiana has 72 delegates and North Carolina 115.
