Hilary Needs Good Showing Today:
Hilary Clinton needs to have a strong showing in the four primaries to keep her hopes for the Democratic presidential nomination alive today.
Polls show Clinton and Barack Obama in a close race in the two biggest states—Texas and Ohio. She led 47%-44% in the latest Zogby poll in Texas with the Ohio polling deadlocked at 44%.
Voters also go to the polls in the smaller states of Vermont and Rhode Island.
John McCain could sew up the nomination with a strong showing today. He needs 178 delegates.

Car Registration:
CFH Guests: If you own a motor vehicle, you need to register it with your coach or it could be towed.
“One Step At a Time” Running Group: Three days a week (times and days TBA). Will meet at CFH. Open to Center guests and anyone else who is interested in learning to run. All runners will receive the necessary running gear (i.e. running shoes, shorts, warm-ups, shirts, hats, etc.). There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the basement stairway near the men’s lounge.
Artistic Newsletter: Are you an artist, poet or writer? Place submissions for the new Artistic Newsletter in Emily Pickerill’s box. Express your talents and ideas by participating. Start submitting as soon as possible.

VA Hospital Van: To schedule a ride to the VA Hospital in Ft. Wayne, St. Joseph County veterans can call Doug Davis (USMC, retired) at (574) 243-VETS (8387).
The van service also provides connecting rides to the VA hospitals in Marion and Indianapolis. .
Homeless Veterans: If you are disabled and cannot work full-time (or are over 65), you may be entitled to a disability pension from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Six Dead in Memphis Shooting
: Six people—including two children—were found dead in a Memphis, TN., home after an apparent mass shooting.
Authorities forced their way into the home Monday night and found the bodies of four adults and two children. Police said they were investigating the case as a multiple homicide, but released few other details—including whether they believed the killer was at large or among the victims.
Children ages 7 and 4 and a 10-month-old baby were taken to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis.

(5) Bethel Woman 50, Indiana Wesleyan 45: Natalie Young scored 28 points to lead host Bethel (29-3) to their first MCC Tournament win.
The Lady Wildcats managed to take their first lead of the game with 1:27 remaining but Bethel held IWU scoreless the rest of the way.
A basket by Young and four free throws sealed the verdict for the Lady Pilots.
Bethel will travel to Sioux City, Iowa, next week for the 2008 NAIA Division II Women’s National Championship Tournament. The first round of the 32-team tourney is spread over two days—Wednesday, Marcy 12, and Thursday, March 13. The Lady Pilots will learn their seeding, opponent and date this Wednesday afternoon when the official tournament bracket is released.

Brett Favre Reportedly Retiring: Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre has reportedly told the team that he is retiring after a 17-year NFL career that has seen him break numerous records and win one Super Bowl.]
It had been widely expected that the 38-year-old Favre would come back for the 2008 season after having a career resurgence in 2007.
Favre completed 66.5% of his passes this past season in leading the Pack to a 13-3 record, an NFL North championship and the NFC championship game. He threw for 4,155 yards, 28 touchdowns and only 15 interceptions while breaking Dan Marino’s record for career TD passes. He was named to his ninth Pro Bowl.
Bears Trade Brian Griese: The Chicago Bears have traded quarterback Brian Griese to his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
