Former CFH Guest Found Dead: The man found dead in the vicinity of a Mishawaka hotel Monday afternoon has been identified as Gale Diedrich.
The 52-year-old Mishwaka resident was a guest at the Center for the Homeless earlier this year.
Authorities estimate that he was dead for four or five days before the body was discovered.
Investigators are calling the death accidental. The body has been sent to Ft. Wayne for an autopsy.
Anyone with information about Gale should contact Mishawaka Police Detective Louis Beehler, (574) 258-1684.

Jefferson Mobile Home Park Residents Given Notice: Residents of Jefferson Mobile Park in Mishawaka have been told by Bethel College that they must move out by May 31.
Bethel bought the park several years ago.
Residents who move their units will be given $1,000. Those who leave their mobile homes behind will be given $500.

Halloween Party: The CFH Halloween Party will be October 31, 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., in the eerie dining room.
There will be spooktacular events including: cool Autumn music, creepy door prizes, gooey goodies (upon arrival), a pumpkin pie eating contest, and a best costume judging.
Dinner will be from 4 p.m.-5p.m.

Next STAR Graduation: The next STAR graduation will be November 2 at 12:15 p.m.

World Series Begins Tonight: Jeff Francis will start for the Rockies against the Red Sox’ Josh Beckett in the opener tonight at Fenway Park (8 p.m., Fox network).
Colorado has won seven consective playoff games and 21 of their last 22. Boston won three in a row in the League Championship Series against Cleveland.
The Red Sox have announced that knuckleballer Tim Wakefield has been dropped from the Series roster due to lingering pain from an inflamed shoulder.

Indiana 106, Minnesota 95: Danny Granger scored 25 points—20 in the first half—to lead the Pacers.
The Timberwolves’ Al Jefferson, who came from Boston in the Kevin Garnett trade, led all scorers 27 points and 17 rebounds.
Indiana opens the regular season October 31 at home against Washington.
Dallas 96, Chicago 88: Thomas Gardner, Thabo Sefolosha, and rookie Joakim Noah scored 12 points apiece to lead the Bulls.
Chicago opens the regular season October 31 at the New Jersey Nets.
