“Fat Tuesday” Meal a Success:
The CFH kitchen staff, led by Supervisor Cheryl Jackson and Assistant Geraldine Carter, outdid itself with the “Fat Tuesday” meal.
The meal included Cajun/Creole favorites like gumbo, jambalaya, red beans, rice and etoufee along with Mardi Gras music.
Geraldine singled out one guest volunteer for his contributions to the meal, but he was too modest to have his name mentioned in the Herald. The Herald policy is not to print names without the guest’s permission.
Ben Newswanger, who recently completed his CNA training, is taking his licensing exams today.

Uncle Ron’s Sports Ramblings

Eli Does have Love Life:
It turns out somebody besides his mother does love Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning.
The University of Mississippi graduate is engaged to his college sweetheart, Abby McGrew, and she was at the big game with the rest of the Manning family (where else would she be, shopping with Jessica Simpson?).
The pretty blue-eyed blonde usually sits in the stands because for someone reason Eli has a history of playing badly when she watches from a luxury box. For the NFC championship she defied Eli’s orders and left the 4-degree above cold and joined the family in their warm box.
Ironically Abby is a Nashville, Tennessee, native. Eli’s brother, Peyton, played at the University of Tennessee. Eli followed in his father Archie’s footsteps at Ole Miss.
