Artistic Newsletter:
Are you an artist, poet or writer?
Place submissions for the new Artistic Newsletter in Emily Pickerill’s box. Express your talents and ideas by participating. Start submitting as soon as possible.

ABE

Starting Over:
The next Starting Over class will begin December 3 and will run six weeks because of the holidays.
All of the following activities count towards ABE hours.
▪Computer Classes: There will be two Basic Word classes on Fridays starting December 7: 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. Sign up in ABE.
▪ Academic Fun Fair: Starting December 3 in ABE.
There will be puzzles, games, interesting projects and exhibits. A new exhibit will be added every day for the first week of December.
Volunteers are needed to set up and work exhibits. See Andrea in ABE.
▪ Poetry Jam: Every Tuesday, 7-8 p.m., Starting Over Room.
Read a favorite poem.
Share your own work.
Just listen, relax and enjoy.
▪Creative Writing: Thursdays, 7-8 p.m., Starting Over Room.
▪Dead Poets Society: Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m., ABE Room. All are welcome.
We will discuss short stories and poems.
▪Science Club: Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m., Starting Over Room.
Discuss science-related issues in the news and interesting experiments about Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and more.

St. Joseph Med Center, Mishawaka Closed:
Mishawaka’s St. Joseph Medical Center has been sealed off because of a hazardous material incident.
Streets have been blocked in the immediate area. Officials are unable to confirm what type of materials are involved.
No patients are being received at the facility; they are being diverted to Memorial Hospital until further notice.

Broncos 34, Titans 20:
Jay Cutler threw touchdown passes of 41 and 48 yards as Denver held on to a share of the AFC West lead with a 5-5 record.
The Bronco defense picked off two Vince Young passes.
Michigan’s Lloyd Carr Resigns: Michigan Head Coach Lloyd Carr resigned Monday after a disappointing season that included a loss to Appalachian State and the sixth loss in seven years at the hands of archrival Ohio State.
The biggest game in Carr’s 13-years at UM was the 1997 Rose Bowl victory which clinched the national championship.

Soccer

ND Women to Face UNC:
The Lady Irish (17-4-2) renew their NCAA Tournament rivalry with North Carolina (19-3-1) Saturday at Chapel Hill. Kickoff is at noon.
ND advanced in the tournament with a 2-0 win over Illinois.
